TAKS!

Well, I got to school today around 8:25 A.M. the first person to come across my path was Mr. Locke he made me sign a balloon to send to the sky as if to say the sky is the limit, either that or they just wanted us to see the test in a different prospective, which I may add it didn't really work for me, but it was good to see that someone actually cared. I went to get breakfast it was actually good I ate oatmeal with apple pie, then I was ready for the test although I didn't really wake up until after lunch that is when my brain turn on and so I went back to redo the test again and check my previous answers so I got done about 4:45. I didn't really care how much time it took me as long as I passed I am pretty sure I did. Now is time to start thinking science the potential salvation of mankind or destruction which ever comes first. Doesn't everybody love test? It is what determines your place in society and how everyone judges you. There is nothing like waking up with a headache and a test to be taken that same day. Anyway my life is great how about yours?

Is my fault!

Today, in acadec we found out where our teams stand in order from first place to last place. The current team captains are Nazir (silver in first place), Melissa (Black in second place), Rocio (purple in third place), and Victor (yep that is me, white last place). It was not anything new to me I was expecting to be in last place because lets just say I have not been doing my best lately on test, I am currently number 12 out of 19 people currently in class and after talking to Mr. Locke I found out that it was my fault my team was in last place. Well after his reasoning unfortunately, it turns out his right. It is true it is my fault I am in 12 place while my two veterans draft picks are number 8 and 9, it gets worst, my section leader is number 14 I think, yea it is not going so well, but I know in order to help my teammates first I have to help myself. There is sunshine after the storm I found out that I got top gun award for the social studies test, I was very proud of myself of course, I was reminded of why I am a team captain and that I have the capability to improve over time and possibly bring my team to a respectable position. I need to be the leader that Mr. Locke and my team expects me to be even though everyone else expects me to fail. I do not blame them I mean this year is my first year as a team captain and there is no reason why people should expect anything else. Well I know what I am capable of, last year was my first year to go to regionals and I was short of 5,000 by like ten point or something now I have to built upon that and do my best to learn that to be a leader you need to make other people around you better and right now I am not doing that so I am not being a very good leader. I must not dwell on the past I need to keep my mind set on the future and keep working in the present so that my future can be the past I want to be remembered by!

Can we control our reactions when our emotion take over!

Richard and I have been arguing about this issue for about three days, and we never seem to come up with a resolution that both of us can agree on. Here is what Richard thinks, he thinks that sometime your emotions are so strong that you can control your reactions. I think that you can control your reactions maybe not your emotions because if something sad happens you might still be sad, but you can control your reactions. We have four basic types of emotions sad, glad, mad, and scared. The reactions that we have from those emotions vary you can laugh, cry, be scared and so on, but you are the one the decides how to handle each situation . Take for example Martin Luther King Jr. and Ghandi they both deal with situations that might want to make you kill someone, but they kept their cool and never use violence. On the other hand, Malcolm X dealed with the same type of problems and he wanted to kill everyone, so help us settle this argument and comment your opinion, it will be greatly appreciated thank you!

A Good Friend

Well today I learned the value of a good friend. I was talking to a friend about twenty minutes ago. Anyway we were talking and I found out that a good friend makes it much easier to deal with your problems, well I already knew this, but it is kind of cool that she would take the time to talk to me for awhile it was cool. Well I guess my point is that we all need to find a good friend or someone that we trust to talk to because it can make a big difference. Yea I know this might sound strange, but is true and if not then I guess I am just wrong. That is ok I been wrong before, we all have, but is good to have friends like that because sometimes you just need to talk about stuff, but you can't find the person to talk to that will listen to you and not laugh or make you feel stupid. Ok I bet all of you think I am crazy, but you know what I don't care because even if I am you can't stop me from expressing my opinion as long as I do it cleanly and I am so take that! Ok I am sorry I am being rude, but is fifteen minutes till three 'o' clock in the morning. I am going to sleep now for obvious reasons, think about what I said and judge for yourselves, thank you for reading my blog I hope you get something good out of it.

Hi it has been awhile, but here are a couple of joke to brighten up your day vote for the best one.

Question and answer blonde joke

Q: If a blonde and a brunette are tossed off a building, who hits the ground first?
A: The brunette. The blonde has to stop to ask for directions.

English is really crazy

There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins were not invented in England or French fries in France. Sweetmeats are candies, while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat. We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square, and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

And why is it that writers write, but fingers don't fing, grocers don't groce, and hammers don't ham? If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of booth beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So, one moose, 2 meese? One index, two indices? Is cheese the plural of choose?

If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat?

In what language do people recite at a play, and play at a recital?

Ship by truck, and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell? Park on driveways and drive on parkways? How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites? How can the weather be hot as hell one day and cold as hell another?

When a house burns up, it burns down. You fill in a form by filling it out, and an alarm clock goes off by going on.

When the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible. And why, when I wind up my watch, I start it, but when I wind up this essay, I end it.

Make life simpler tips
Helpful Tips To Make Life Simpler

1. Old telephone books make ideal personal address books. Simply cross out the names and addresses of people you don't know.

2. Fool other drivers into thinking you have an expensive car phone by holding an old TV or video remote control up to your ear and occasionally swerving across the road and mounting the curb.

3. Lose weight quickly by eating raw pork and rancid tuna. I found that the subsequent food poisoning enabled me to lose 12 pounds in only 2 days.

4. Avoid parking tickets by leaving your windshield wipers turned to fast wipe whenever you leave your car parked illegally.

5. No time for a bath? Wrap yourself in masking tape and remove the dirt by simply peeling it off.

6. Apply red nail polish to your nails before clipping them. The red nails will be much easier to spot on your bathroom carpet. (Unless you have a red carpet, in which case a contrasting polish should be selected).

7. If a person is choking on an ice cube, don't panic. Simply pour a jug of boiling water down their throat and presto! The blockage is almost instantly removed.

8. Save on booze by drinking cold tea instead of whiskey. The following morning you can create the effects of hangover by drinking a thimble full of dish washing liquid and banging your head repeatedly on the wall.

The end of the six weeks

The end of the six weeks is upon us well it seems that every time the end of the end of the six weeks comes around people seem to scramble to get everything done at the last minute or just decide they do not care and end up flucking the six weeks. It happens to all us, but some more than others, I mean right now I have to deal with a cultural literacy test and a spelling test which I am missing like 70 words or so. Well I only have two choices I can either get my act together and start working or just expect the worst, I will try to get to work and I will see what happens after that. Happy hardworking or flucking whatever the case may be for you. I got to go do some homework hopefully I actually will do something this time like Jonathan said there is lets do this and that, but we never get around to do our homework. I know is going to come back and hunt us, but unfortunately we as teenagers don't really care what happens if we don't do our work, most of the time we say oh well I will try harder next six weeks and then next six weeks comes around and the cycle repeats over and over again. So to those who actually do your work keep it up is going to pay off someday and to those who don't including myself we have better start or we might put ourselves in a position where we don't want to be in! Good luck to all of you procrastinators out there now get to work or fluck if you so desire and even if you don't desire you will fluck if you don't start working. Oh no!!!!! Now I sound like a parent or a teacher, but unfortunately they are right I guess that is why they say that with age comes wisdom. Well if that is true right now I wish I was like 80 or something well not really, but I do want to have enough wisdom to pass my classes and if I don't get to work right now I know I deserve what I get because is my fault not anybody else's fault so have fun see ya!

Home at last

Yesterday I finally got home from deepest, darkest, Wisconsin and I realized how fun it was to get away from all your worries and problems for a few days. Then I actually wished to be back there again with a couple of my friends, great food by the way is all you can eat for one fix price I did not realized how much I could eat until I got to Wisconsin it turns out I can eat quite a bit. Anyway I missed not having to worry about school and just having fun even though it was three Benjamins, but I actually had fun or at least I think I had fun. Then I woke up and realized that this fantasy world I want to live in does not yet exist and that this dream of mine of not having to worry about everything would soon be over because eventually I was going to run out of money. When I got home I realized that I had spend 70 dollars out of about 150 that I took with me and the worst part is that I do not even know when, what, or how I spend so much money in about five days. Oh well it is gone now all that is left are the very expensive memories, but I am glad to be back in the hood Oak Cliff, home sweet home. I missed the action over here over there is all quiet and nice it seems like they live in a perfect world. It is like the people I talk to over there have everything figured out and by the way no offense, but most of them are rich white people who get everything from their parents they are really boring over there their neibhorhood from stories they told me is quiet most of the time and most of them already have their own car and they got their life all figured out, it seems like their biggest problem is to keep an image their parents can be proud of. That is why I am proud of my cultural heritage and social status we might have more problems, but the same problems give us the experience needed to succeed in life! They also keep life interesting at all times and remind us that we should be proud of being considered a whole bunch of poor Mexicans and few black and white people that go to my school because this way we can actually say we earned what we got and that it was not just given to us, we are not born with a silver spoon in our mouths, but what we are born with is a great tradition of hardwork and pride that we must use to our advantage!

Be proud of your culture and heritage do not let anyone make you feel inferior because of where you come from, the color of your skin, or your social status because in the end the only person that is getting affected by this is you and if you let this kinds of people get to you in a way you are letting them win and giving them the more reasons to put you down. Instead take pride in your culture and when you do beat the odds is going to make it that much sweeter when you realized where you came from and all the things you had to do to get through the road of success, but it the end it will make it all worthwhile!
