Que paso chamacos y chamacas (if you don't understand this don't worry is not important)

Well let see blogging, yes the purpose of blogging is to express yourself and let the world know that you exist (ok maybe not the world just the people who know the address to Mr. Locke website) because besides those people nobody else reads this. In fact, I don't think people from the blogging world call Mr. Locke.net/blog read this anymore and the ones that do are very few, but I guess that was to be expected. I could blog like everyday, but what is the point? That is a very good question and I am glad I asked that ( at least I think is a good question) if you don't share my opinion that is not my fault that is your fault so blah! Anyway the purpose of blogging is to express yourself and help you deal with the little or big problems of life, whatever the case may be. I know I have not been blogging for ages actually it has been for 16 days! You may be asking yourselves now Victor why did you do such a horrible thing like that I mean not blogging for 16 days? Well the answer is simple, because I think whatever I blog about should be interesting, but I am having a problem coming up with interesting stuff to blog about so that is why I have not blog for 16 days. Now Mrs. Grimes I know you love new post to read, so I am going to try to blog every other day, but I am warning you my post my be boring, but you people don't care right, well if you do too bad that is not my fault you will never take my right of freedom of speech away! Except for Doc he is scary and he controls my grade. Now moving on I have been taking college classes at Mountain View for dual credit ( for those of you who do not know what dual credit is, it means that after you complete the course and if you pass the class you get credit for college and high school). Ok my speech class I am doing good because I have had some very good English teachers: Mrs. Grimes, Doc, and Mr. Locke I thank all of you I have leaned a lot from you three kiddos through out my high school years, and I am hoping to learn even more this year with Mrs. Grimes once again! Goodluck this year Doc (even though I know he is never going to read this), Mrs. Grimes, and especially Mr. Locke you are getting all the punks, hey look at the bright side it will prepare you for your child's teenage years and the road of fatherhood. Ok, but I have bad news I had to drop economics, I know Mr. Locke is going to be disappointed in me, but two college classes in a month is kind of difficult, plus acadec, but now I can concentrate on getting an A in speech class! So sorry Mr. Locke I know I let you down, but that is part of life you live and learned! So far in acadec I have learned a lot being a team captain, I have learned the value of team work and being there for my team. It hard to walk a path alone, but with a little of support one can achieve great things! As of right now we are currently in first place, but what matters to me the most is that they actually take something out of acadec and not just do it because they have to do it! I mean you are already in this thing have some fun, and yes is a lot of work, but it feels good to know that you actually know something! The standings are very important in acadec, but what is much more important is the things you take out of acadec and how you put them to the test in real life situations! It wasn't until this year that I learned how great acadec is, I mean right now I am taking college classes, and all the things I have learned in acadec have been the key to me doing well in my speech class. I know it sounds crazy, but who knows maybe the things you learned today may save your life tomorrow! Ok Locke here is an impromptu questions (remember the little bear) Why did the chicken cross the road? Everybody else is also welcome to answer this question I want to see what answers all of you come up with!

P.S. I know the comment system I have now is a little annoying so just post anonymous and put your name before you put your comment (if you don't want to go through the process of signing in)! The rules are you have a minute to prepare and you have to speak or in this case type for 1:30 to 2:00 minutes. You don't exactly have to follow the rules especially if you are a first timer, but is good practice (Mr. Locke I strongly expect you to follow the rules, you should be ashamed of yourself if you don't)!

A walk Through Memory Lane

I was just looking at my poetry project that I did in Mrs. Grimes class my sophomore year in high school. We had to pick out our favorite song and do different things like make a business card related to the song, put pictures, and include a translation of the song. Looking back on the whole experience it was kind of fun. Then I ran across the Bio Poems that we did, Mrs. Grimes gave us a copy of all the poems written by all the class members corresponding to whatever period you were in. I was in 7th period it was a fun class, it was nice to read all the things others desire to have in the near future, all their hopes and dreams and remember what they were like and you can see right away how one year makes a lot of difference.

I miss the old days where my GPA was much higher and I knew most of the stuff teachers taught me, now I am confused in math and my chemistry teacher was not so good to say the least. On the other hand, the biology teacher I had my sophomore year was a great teacher, I learned a lot in her class and it was also fun, she was very nice and her teaching methods were appealing to my style of learning. Unfortunately, those days are gone now and I have to concentrate on what lies ahead, which is my senior year and the security blanket I know as Sunset high school will be replace by a big and scary monster called "college" I am beginning to realize that leaving behind all that you came to know and appreciate is very difficult, but at the same time one needs to go out and try new things to test the waters and be more prepared for the world we live in today. A world where you must be prepared or you might not accomplish what one day you promise yourself you would and then you are going to looked back and regret not being as determine and hardworking as you needed to be to reach your goals, but by then it might be too late! Wow you see what a night without any sleep does to me! I knew I shouldn't have had that snicker at one in the morning! Oh well too late, well think of what I said, you know once in awhile seating back and reflecting on your life can help you become a better person all around, but you must do something about what you think you should improve on and not just say you are going to do it and not do it at all. Unfortunately the problem with the majority of people is that is very easy for them to say they are going change for the better, but is very hard for them to actually take the actions necessary to do so. I myself am one of those people I want to change for the better, but is very hard for me to take the actions necessary to do so! As the saying goes "we don't know what we have or in this case what we could have had until it is gone" We need make our best effort to improve today in order to have a better tomorrow or else what would we have to look forward to!

No matter what always remember you can spit in one hand and hope in the other and see which one fills up first!

We Did It At Least For Now Anyway!

All our hard work finally paid off the white team and I met at eleven ‘o’ clock in the morning instead of the traditional 12 in the afternoon, to review the math and it showed in the scores yesterday as the first three people in the rankings are member of the white team. As I saw the results yesterday Mr. Locke’s words echo in my head from last year when the white team was in last place and I said “oh well is not my fault” and he said “ maybe not completely, but you are the team captain and is up to you to encourage your team to study and improve their scores!” I started thinking and I realize he was right so I change my way of viewing things and did my best to build on from the few building blocks that were already in place and go on from there. Now the team is slowly coming together and we had come a long way from where we were at the end of the last school year. NEVERTHELESS I know is still pretty early in the year, but we are going in the right direction and I also know things can change in a blink of an eye, but so far I am satisfy with what we had done so far. Thanks to the team members who showed up keep up the good work especial thanks to Jonathan Vines who showed up at eleven yesterday to teach us math he is now number one which means I am number two, but is ok he is on my team and I proud of him keep up the good work JV kid. Briseida she has been doing an excellent job as well she is number three in the rankings and she has all the qualities any one would want in a teammate she encourages others and she is a very hard worker. Good work team thanks for working hard I couldn’t had done it with out all of you helping out I am proud of all of you keep up the good work.
Even though we are in first place for now remember that all the teams are not complete and some of them are missing key pieces like Melissa, Rocio, and Nazir to name a few. So this is not over in fact, it has not even started, so white team get ready because the competition is going to get tougher. Just keep that in mind and Jonathan lets see how long you can hold first place. Seriously thank you very much for taking the time to teach us math I appreciate it good job we did it Jonathan, but can we follow through with this until regional competition comes around we shall see!
